The PetSafe Travel Leash keeps your dog in place on the back seat while you drive. It cannot climb forward to the driver, slip between the seats or jump out of an open window. Vico rides on the back seat this way too.
How to fit it
- Put the loop with the click buckle around the rear seat headrest and close it. The loop adjusts from 35 to 47.5 cm and fits most headrests.
- Set the leash length with the slider between 46 and 80 cm: short enough that your dog cannot reach the footwell or the front, long enough to sit and lie down comfortably.
- Clip the snap hook to your dog's harness.
Important: Please do not attach it to a collar. In a sudden braking manoeuvre all the force would act on the neck. On a harness it is spread across the chest and shoulders.
Good to know
The travel leash keeps your dog in its place during the drive so it does not distract you. Crash tested transport boxes or safety harnesses are designed for protection in an accident. Please check the rules for transporting animals in the country you are travelling in.
